Chapter 3 : How to ask

Ok, for making the question you need to know the question words that I gave you.

Now, how to make it!!

The structure is almost same as the English.

Question words + sentence (subject + verb)

Nah, it's easy, isn't it?

I'll show you the example.

Looking at this picture.

I can make sentences like this.

1.Who is sitting in front?

1.Siapa duduk di depan?

ans a prof is sitting in front.

ans Seorang prof duduk di depan.

2. Where is this restaurant?

2. Di manakah kedai ini?

ans This restaurant is in the faculty of economic.

ans Kedai ini di fakulti Ekonomi.

3. When this restaurant will be closed?

3. Bilakah kedai ini akan ditutup?

ans This restaurant will be closed before Makrib(around 7 pm)

ans Kedai ini akan ditutup sebelum Makrib.

4. What is the women who wearing the pink hijab doing ?

4.Apakah perempuan yang memakai hijab warna merah jambu telah membuat?

ans She is buying food.

ans DIa telah membeli makanan.

5. How many people is in this restuarant?

5. Berapa jumlah orang di dalam kedai ini?

ans 12 people in this restaurant.

ans Ada 12 orang dalam kedai ini.

6. Which one is the available table?

6. Yang mana satu meja yang kosong?

ans The table is in the middle is available.

ans meja yang di tengah kedai ini kosong.

7. Why this restaurant has so many people?

7. Mengapakah kedai ini ada orang ramai?

ans Because food in this restaurant so delicious.

ans Sebab makanan kedai ini sangat sedap.

Words 5 : Question

Then, after I told you how to make sentences now I'll give you the Question words.

So,you'll be able to ask anything.

1. Who,what = Siapa / Siapakah ? (it's going to be 'what' when you ask the name "Siapa nama awak?" means "What's your name?")
2. Where = Di mana / Di manakah?
3. When= Bila / Bilakah?
4. What = Apa / Apakah?
5. How = Berapa / Berapakah? 
6. How many = Berapa jumlah ?
7. How much = Berapa harga?
8. How far = Berapa jauh? 
9. How long = Berapa panjang? (for time)
10. How tall = Berapa tinggi?
11. Which one = Yang mana ?
12. Why = Mengapa , Kanapa?

Ps. You can add 'kah' after the question words ,it's going to be formal.

Chapter 2 : How to do the basic sentence

After I gave you so so so much words ,now I'll tell you haw to make sentence.

It's not too difficult (if you remember all words i gave you lol)

OK, first the most basic structure is 

subject + verb + object 

seem like English right?

for example : Saya makan nasi (I eat rice)

so Saya mean I which is subject

Makan means eat which is verb

Nasi means rice which is object

see is it difficult ? no right?

Now, What about objective ?

the objective,it's must come after noun.

for example : baju baru , kasut cantik

Baju means shirt and Kasut means shoes ,these are noun.

Baru means new and Cantik means beautiful ,which are objective


So, now you can make some sentences :)
let's try sometime 

Adjective : Kata abjektif

Now, I'll tell you the words of adjective .

I'll start with the Feeling and Tasting mean Rasa.

1. sweet = manis
2. sour = masam
3. salty = masin
4. bitter = pahit
5. smelly = busuk
6. delicious = sedap , enak

Second , color or warna

1. blue = biru
2. red = merah
3. green = hijau
4. yellow = kuning
5. brown = coklat , perang
6. purple = ungu
7. gray = kelabu
8. pink = merah jambu
9. orange = oren , jingga
10. gold = emas
11. black = hitam
12. white = putih  

For the others.

1. sick / well = sakit / sihat,baik
2. tall / short = tinggi / pendek,rendah
3. loud / soft = kuat , nyaring / perlahan(sound),lembut(touching)
4. left / right = kiri / kanan
5. dark / bright = galap / cerah , terang
6. near / far = dekat , hampir / jauh
7. shallow / deep = cetek / dalam
8. wet / dry = basah / kering
9. heavy / light = berat / ringgan
10. young / old = muda / tua
11. wide / narrow = luas / sempit
12. open / shut = terbuka / tertutup
13. slow / fast = perlahan ,lambat / laju , cepat, pantas (3 of them for acting ),deras (for water)
14. alive / dead = hidup / mati

Preposition : Kata sendi

To making the sentence we need the preposition right?

2. from(made form , half form) = daripada
3. to (time) = hingga
4. to(place) = kepada , ke
5. with,by = dengan
6. at = di
7. in = dalam , di dalam
8. on = di atas
9. under = di bawah
10. behind = di belakang
11. in front = di hadapan , di depan
12. near(at the edge)= di tepi (eg near the beach : di tepi pantai)
13. near = dekat (eg near with her : dekat dia)
14. far = jauh
15. next to = di sebelah
16. at the corner = di sudut

Pronoun : Kata ganti nama

Pronoun in Malay ,there are so many words.

I'll compare it with the English words , It's going to be easier for you to understand it.

• Saya : the formal one, you can use this word with anyone you don't know.
• Aku : use the word with friends or the God
• Hamba : used in the past
• Patik : use with king
• Beta : for king

We

• Kami 
• Kita

You

• Anda : formal
• Awak : use with friends and the one we close
• Kamu : use with friends
• Engkau : can use with friends and God

They

• Mereka

She,He 

• Dia
• Beliau : use with the one we love and respect such as parents
• Baginda : use with king

Words 4 : Fruit , Kitchen

1. mango = mangga
2. banana = pisang
3. grape = anggur
4. apple = epal
5. peach = pic
6. pear = pir
7. orange = oren
8. watermelon = tembikai
9. ruby = delima
10. dragon fruit = buah naga
11. papaya = betik
12. mangosteen = manggis
13. guava = jambu
14. coconut = kelapa
15. star fruit = belimbing 

The second one is kitchen(dapur).
